I thought I would share what we are using for curriculum this year. We are very much what I would call an “eclectic” homeschooling family. We use a lot of Charlotte Mason methods. Our main curriculum is My Father’s World (Rome to Reformation this year), but we add a lot of our own things as well. So, here we go!
My son (Buddy) will be moving into the regular My Father’s World curriculum this year with his sister (Boo) and I am SOOOOO happy about this! It cuts prep and class time down so much when you can combine your kids in classes. Our family classes this year are:
Family Bible and Character
States and Capitals
Armor of God
Preamble to the U.S. Constitution
1 Corinthians 13
The Lord’s Prayer
Books of the Bible Review
We are going to do hymn study and study Mozart, Beethoven, and Hayden.
We are studying nutrition, safety, and body systems.
We will be studying India’s history and geography.
Boo will be mostly doing 6th Grade work and her solo classes are:
Handwriting and Copywork
Buddy is still working on phonics and learning to read. His solo classes include:
Woodwork and Tools
